MEET ASHLEY

Welcome! I am so happy you've stumbled upon my page. I hope that you find all that you're looking for as you search for just the right fit for your photo session needs.
As we've already established, I'm Ashley! I've been married to my high school sweetheart, Jeremy, for 14 years. He's the boy I swooned over for years before he took notice of me and asked me on a date when we were sophomores in high school. It was love at first date, but with each year that passes we realize what true love really is!
We are blessed with four sweet kiddos that add so much joy and laughter to our lives. I should also admit we homeschool them too. So, we can say they also add a whole lot of crazy to this mama's life too! HA! But, I am incredibly thankful to spend my days with them as I know the years go by way too fast.
How did the photography come about, you may ask. Growing up, I always remember my mom was the one who took the pictures. At the time, we may not have always liked to hear, "Let me get your picture!". But my appreciation for that grew and I can look back at years and years of photos my mom took the time to take and put together into albums. It seems I have a photo to commemorate all of the major events in my life, but the many little things too. For that, I will always be grateful to my mom.
I taught elementary school for several years before I became a stay at home mom with my oldest. That love of photography grew with the addition of each child and the desire to capture each little moment in their lives, just as my mom did. After a few years, I realized all of the hours of practicing, online workshops, videos and tutorials I'd been doing could also be used to bless others. With that grew Ashley Alderfer Photography.
I truly love what I do. It's a tremendous honor to be asked to photograph someone's family. Whether it's capturing your newborn in their tiniest form, to celebrating their first birthday with a cake smash, to getting all of the family together to dance in the fields, I want to be there to capture it for you. As parents, we realize that these moments are just a blink in time. Let me have the honor to freeze the time through the photographs. "For these are the days we'll remember."
xoxo ashley
